Dr. Birkey hold a Master’s in Nurse midwifery, a post graduate degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University. Dr. Birkey teaches at Frontier Nursing Univeristy. Dr. Birkey opened her own practice, Liz Healthcare and Psychiatry, in 2022 providing psychiatric care to clients in the community. She also works as a Certified Nurse Midwife at Catching Joy Midwifery with owner Angie Reidner CNM.
