Janel has joined the Arukah family after completing her CRSS education at NIU combined with over 20 years of lived experience with both SUD and behavioral health struggles. She empowers individuals struggling with SUD and/or behavior health to find their own path to recovery through advocacy and support. She offers safe space for Individuals to be themselves and free of judgment. Helping others is calling she is grateful to answer. Janel has a passion for working with individuals that have experienced incarceration as well. Janel wants to reduce the self stigma that individuals face. She maintains and open mind and a willingness to see others perspectives and point of views. She hopes to walk this journey with you.
