Brittany Vedder, MS
Supervisor of Substance Use Services
Brittany first earned her Masters in Rehabilitation Fitness before realizing her passion for the mental health and substance use field. She then returned to school to earn a Bachelors in Psychology at Oregon State University. Brittany realized this passion while working in the criminal justice system as a Criminal Records Specialist, then Sheriff’s Deputy assigned to the jail division. It was during this time she realized how much mental health and substance use impacts those that are in the jail and prison systems.
Brittany went on to work with adults in custody as a Substance Abuse Counselor in the hopes to reduce recidivism and help them gain a different perspective and coping skills. At Arukah, Brittany works as a Crisis MHP as well as the Supervisor of Substance Use Services. A few things she enjoys while away from Arukah are reading, traveling, trying/learning new things, and anything that has to do with being in, on, or around water. Brittany is currently in the final stages of earning her CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor).
