Our Purpose
To improve wellness and reduce the risk of mental health crisis for first responders and their family members in Bureau, Putnam, Marshall and LaSalle Counties and to provide services specific to job-related stressors experienced by workers in this field and their families. The Peer Support Network will allow first responders to contact someone for assistance, anonymously if they wish, at any time of the day or night. Trained peer supporters can aid their peers in a time of crisis, de-escalating the situation and connecting them with appropriate resources.

Confidentiality Disclaimer
The Vigilant Program and all that it entails including the website and counseling services, agrees to maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion at all times. Confidentiality of the member’s private information will be maintained at all times. Information and communications obtained by a Peer Supporter while participating in the Vigilant Program shall be considered confidential and shall not be released to any person or entity. Exceptions to this confidentiality agreement include: the extent disclosure is necessary to prevent the commission of an act that is likely to result in a clear imminent risk of serious physical injury or death of a person or persons, when disclosure is required by court order.
