Supervisor, Recovery Support Program and Therapist
Alison holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Northern Illinois University. Alison completed her clinical internship at Haymarket Center in Chicago on the Men’s Residential Unit. Alison previously worked as the Safe Passage Program Coordinator (a police deflection program for substance use) and at Rosecrance in Rockford, IL on the Women’s Residential Unit. Alison has a history of working with individuals with co-occurring disorders utilizing CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing all while focusing on the development of innovative strategies to meet people where they are at. Alison holds a certificate in CIT-Program Coordinator from Crisis Intervention Teams- International. Alison has a deep passion for meeting people where they are at and combining clinical strategies and innovative solutions to assist people in their journey. At Arukah, Alison is part of the Crisis Team, provides support for the recovery support specialists, and is a behavioral therapist. As a behavioral therapist at Arukah, Alison is proficient at providing services to individuals with co-occurring disorders, substance use disorders, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, bipolar, and adjustment disorders. Alison pulls from her own life experience and clinical education to develop a collaborative approach to authentically work with people on where they would like to go in their journey and how to get there. Alison is open to collaborating and connecting with other individuals looking to create change in their life.
