Michael B. Frost

Integrated Crisis & Substance Use Counselor

Four years of experience in crisis stabilization and addiction recovery, currently serving diverse populations across the behavioral health spectrum. Michael brings a trauma-informed, client-centered approach to individuals facing acute mental health challenges, substance
use disorders, and complex life transitions. He previously served 25 years as a paratrooper in the United States Army, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He is a recipient of the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and a Valor Award for distinguished service. In 2023, he returned to school at New Hampshire Technical Institute to pursue licensure as a Certified Recovery Support professional. After relocating to Illinois, he earned his Certified Alcohol and Drug Counseling certificate and became certified as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) Crisis Worker. He chose this field because he witnessed firsthand how many combat veterans struggle with addiction and mental health challenges after service. While remaining deeply committed to serving veterans, he now works with individuals from all backgrounds and populations, providing steady leadership, accountability, and compassionate care to those navigating crisis and recovery.
