As a proud graduate of the Governor State University Certified Recovery Support Specialist Program, I have dedicated over five years to working in the mental health field, focusing on individuals grappling with serious mental illness (SMI) and domestic abuse. Drawing from my own 45-year journey marked by experiences of child and spousal abuse, I am deeply committed to supporting others on their mental health paths with empathy and understanding. Every person has a unique story thst deserves to be heard and embraced. As Glenn Close once said, “Mental health needs more sunlight, more openness and more unashamed conversation.”
