Corry Engelbrecht

Care Coordinator of Pathways CCSO Services

Corry is a Pathways CCSO Care Coordinator with nearly 25 years of experience in the social services field, much of it dedicated to supporting children and their families. She earned her Associate of Arts degree from Illinois Valley Community College and has spent her career helping individuals navigate challenges, build on their strengths, and work toward meaningful goals.

Inspired by her own life experiences, she knew from a young age that she wanted to dedicate her life to helping children. Those experiences shaped both her belief that every child deserves to be heard, valued, and supported and the empathy, understanding, and compassion that guide her work today. She strives to be the kind of supportive adult she needed when she was younger, offering children the understanding, encouragement, and advocacy every child deserves.

Taking a highly person-centered approach to care coordination, she believes that all behavior is a form of communication and strives to understand the needs, experiences, and strengths behind each individual’s actions. She is particularly skilled at building strong rapport with children by connecting with them through their interests, talents, and passions. Rather than focusing solely on challenges, she works to identify and encourage each child’s positive qualities, helping them recognize their strengths, build confidence, and develop a stronger sense of self.

Corry is a strong advocate for children and believes they deserve a voice in the decisions that affect their lives. She is committed to creating an environment where they feel respected, understood, and empowered while working together to create positive and lasting change.
