Director of Clinical Services

Ariel Swanson, LCSW, serves as the Director of Clinical Services at Arukah Institute of Healing. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northern Illinois University and went on
to complete her Master of Social Work at Aurora University. Ariel has been practicing since 2015, bringing experience from a range of clinical settings including community mental health, crisis stabilization, hospital systems, outpatient primary care clinics, and correctional (jail)
environments. In addition to her leadership role, Ariel continues to provide direct therapy services, utilizing evidence-based approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness-based interventions. She is deeply committed to being present and accessible for those she serves, prioritizing a client-centered approach that meets each individual where they are and supports them in exploring and processing their experiences within a safe, compassionate therapeutic environment.
