Brooklyn Garcia
Mental Health Crisis Worker
Brooklyn holds both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, as well as an Associate of Arts in Psychology from Pikes Peak State College. She has experience working across various populations, including work with foster children who have experienced trauma, individuals receiving hospice care, and clients with complex medical, physical, and developmental needs such as visual, auditory, or mobility impairment, autism spectrum disorder and cerebral palsy. Brooklyn has also provided crisis intervention and stabilization as part of the Mobile Crisis Team and has begun supporting military members through her work with the VA.
Brooklyn practices from a trauma-informed, client-centered perspective, recognizing the impact of lived experiences on both emotional and behavioral health. She emphasizes safety, trust, and collaboration in the therapeutic relationship. Her approach integrates empathy, active listening, and adaptability, allowing her to meet clients where they are and support them in developing resilience, and meaningful change in a nonjudgmental and supportive environment. In her free time Brooklyn can be found out in nature, spending time with her fur family, or line dancing! She is currently working on getting accepted into a Doctorate program and hopes to continue her educational journey while doing what she loves.
“You will get there. But right now, you are here. And here is wonderful.”
