Abigail Boren is a private practice Master’s Level Therapist who enjoys working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, parents & families. Abigail also provides comprehensive psychological evaluations for a wide variety of ages & symptom presentations. Abigail joined Arukah as the WORTH Group Facilitator & aims to bring her experience & passion for mental health to engage & motivate at-risk youth.

Abigail received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Northern Illinois University & her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Capella University, with a specialization in Clinical Counseling. Presently, she is pursuing her Psy.D, Doctor of Psychology degree at Capella University. Abigail’s professional experience of over 9 years in the social service/mental health field includes a number of roles in child welfare, crisis intervention & community mental health settings. Abigail notes her time working in child welfare was extremely influential in shaping her professional interests in working with victims of physical & sexual abuse. Abigail is a passionate advocate for children, ending mental health stigmas, suicide awareness, body positivity & increasing self-esteem. Her experience working with youths, parents & families has allowed her to develop a unique skill set to aid families through life adjustments & crises.
